その後は、適時天候状況によって開閉の判断を行い更新しています。

気象庁より雷注意報が発令され、天候急変の可能性がある場合。または前日の天候の影響で水位が高い場合など、普段に増して注意が必要である場合に状況に表示しております。

This status is shown when a thunder advisory has been issued by the Japan Meteorological Agency, or when water levels are higher than usual due to recent weather. Extra caution is required.

閉鎖は、非常に強い雨雲の接近や、24時間以内に台風の暴風圏に入るなど、高い確率で荒天となる場合、またはすでに荒天、河川が危険な状態である場合に表示しております。

The parking lot is closed when severe weather is highly likely, such as approaching storm systems, typhoons within 24 hours, or when river conditions are already dangerous.
Reopening information will be announced on the Ta-taki website. Please check for updates.

ター滝に訪れる皆様からは、車両1台ごとに駐車料金という形で利用料を頂いております。詳しくはター滝ホームページをご確認ください。

There is no entrance fee. Instead, a parking fee is charged per vehicle.

ター滝ホームページで随時、混雑状況を表示しておりますのでご確認ください。7月～10月の土日祝日の11時～15時は大変な混雑になることが多く、長時間入場をお待ちいただくか、再度の来場をお願いすることもあります。

Current congestion levels are displayed on the Ta-taki website.
From July to October, especially on weekends and holidays between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., heavy congestion is common. Entry may be delayed, or you may be asked to return at another time.

サマーシーズン（ゴールデンウィーク＋7月中旬～10月）
夏休み期間は平日であっても基本的に混雑しますが、もっとも混雑する土日祝日でも午前中の8時～10時は空いております。また、アウトドア全般に言えることですが、午後は積乱雲が発生するなど天候が急変しやすいことに加え、人間の判断力も鈍るため、結果として思いがけない大事故が多発する時間帯と言われております。早めの時間のご利用をおすすめします。

Summer Season (Golden Week + mid-July to October)
Even weekdays can be busy during summer. However, 8:00–10:00 a.m. is usually less crowded, even on weekends.
Afternoons are more dangerous due to sudden weather changes and fatigue, so early visits are strongly recommended.

ロングシーズン（秋・10月下旬～初夏・6月下旬まで）
平日、土日祝でも空きが多く、比較的ゆったりご利用いただける季節です。またこの季節は積乱雲や台風の発生も少なく安定しています。ただし5月～6月の梅雨時期は荒天が多く要注意です。

Long Season (Late October to late June)
Generally less crowded on both weekdays and weekends. Weather is more stable, though extra caution is needed during the rainy season (May–June).

冬は平日、土日祝でも空きが多く、ゆったりご利用いただける季節です。清涼な空気と水によって、夏の賑やかさとはまた違うター滝の素晴らしさを体感できるのでおすすめです。

Yes. Winter is usually quiet and offers a different, peaceful experience.
Water temperatures are around 21°C, so wearing a wetsuit is recommended. Rentals are available.

ター滝は、成長や体力の段階に応じて、楽しみ方や場所が異なると考えております。
ター滝入口からマルグムイ（小滝）までは、0歳～6歳までの幼児期や高齢者であっても保護者や付き添いの方がサポートすることで楽しんで頂けると思います。
そこから先のター滝までの道のりは、6ｍ程度の急な岩壁をロープを使って昇り降り出来る体力と運動神経が求められます。
基本的には自然そのままの場所であることから、比較的安全に見える川の入り口であっても、水場での溺れ、天候の急変、落石、倒木、毒虫などリスクがあります。アミューズメント施設のような安全が確保された場所では無いこと、様々なリスクへのとっさの対処や事前の備えが、来訪者各個人に求められる場所であることをご理解ください。

There is no strict age limit, but suitable areas vary by age and ability.

更衣室は着替え用テント８室、シャワー室は２室となります。シャワーは常温で、100円1分30秒ご利用いただけます。
冬から春にかけては冷水が出ますので、温水シャワーのご利用を希望されるお客様は、「おおぎみ道の駅 やんばるの森ビジターセンター」（ター滝駐車場から車で約8分）の温水シャワー室の利用をおすすめします。

コインロッカーをご用意しております。利用料金は100円です。リターン式ではないのでご注意ください。最近、車のカギをター滝で無くされて、レッカーやロックセンターへ依頼するケースが増えています。こうなると対処には時間とお金がかなりかかりますので、コインロッカーへのお預けをおすすめします。

高い滝なので、高滝（タータキ）と呼ばれています。これほどの高い滝はこの辺りでは見られないことから、この名になったと言われています。大正6年に発行された国頭郡誌に「高滝は大宜味羽地の間なる平南川の上流にあり直下15尋飛沫四辺の木の葉を払ひ冷気身に沁みて壮観なり」と記されており、古くからこの名で呼ばれていたようです。

“Ta-taki” comes from Takadaki, meaning “high waterfall.”
Historical records from 1917 describe it as a spectacular waterfall with cool mist spreading through the surrounding forest.

駐車場からター滝までは1.3キロで片道30分程度です。

飲酒は重大事故の発生原因となります。飲酒はご遠慮ください。運動能力が低下した状態で泳ぎ、岩場を登ることは、ライフジャケットなど装備が万全であっても死亡リスクを高めてしまいます。

多少の雨であれば特に問題ありません。ただし、強いシャワー程度の勢いのある雨が降ったら要注意です。雨が降った後、三十分程度で急に水位が上昇、勢いを増した水が上流から一気に押し寄せてくる「増水」になることがあります。

そのため、①強い雨が降ってきたら駐車場に帰って来ること。②急に水が増えてきた場合は無理に帰ろうとせず、リンクマークのある場所に避難することをお願いします。

Light rain usually does not cause any problems. However, if heavy rain similar to a strong shower begins, extra caution is required.
After rainfall, the water level can rise suddenly within about 30 minutes, and fast-moving water may surge downstream. If heavy rain starts, please return to the parking area immediately. If the water level begins to rise suddenly, do not try to return—evacuate to the designated evacuation areas marked with signs.

ター滝入口からター滝までは、大きな支流が無い一本道なので、迷う方は少ないです。

ター滝ですが、ご来場頂いているお客様のうち、多くの皆様がガイドを付けず個人での利用を楽しまれております。ター滝までは一本道なので、道迷いは起きにくいと思われます。
ター滝へのルートは、平南川ター滝駐車場からター滝までの距離1.3Kmを川の中を歩きます。案内板はスタートの平南川ター滝駐車場と川の入口にありますので、ご利用頂ければ道迷いなどの心配は少なくなると考えます。河川内ルートは自然のままの河川環境であり、遊歩道など安全の設備は整備されておりません。
ター滝の個人でのご利用とガイド事業者さんの利用についてですが、個人での利用は、自然と向き合い自分のイメージで安全を確保し、攻略したり楽しみを見出していくアウトドア本来の喜びであるかもしれません。一方で、ガイド事業者さんを依頼することは、個人利用では発見できない魅力や楽しみ方を知ることができるだけでなく、安全についてもサポートしてもらえると思います。

Many visitors enjoy Ta-taki independently without a guide. As the route is a single path, getting lost is unlikely.
The route from the Henan River Ta-taki Parking Area to Ta-taki is approximately 1.3 km, and involves walking through the river itself.
Information boards are located at the parking area and at the river entrance, which can help reduce the risk of getting lost.
Please note that the river route is a natural, unmaintained environment, and there are no boardwalks or built safety facilities.
Visiting independently can offer the joy of facing nature and managing your own safety. Hiring a guide, on the other hand, can provide deeper insight into the area and additional safety support. Visitors are encouraged to choose the option that best suits their experience level and comfort.

川の周辺では様々な生き物と出会えます。チョウやハグロトンボ、水の中にはヨシノボリやヌマエビ、滝つぼではオオウナギを見ることもあります。

Yes. A variety of wildlife can be found around the river.
You may encounter butterflies and dragonflies, and in the water, goby fish and freshwater shrimp. In the waterfall pool, you may even spot a large freshwater eel.

よく目にするのは、ナガサキアゲハやツマベニチョウ、リュウキュウハグロトンボやシマヨシノボリ、ヌマエビが良く見られます。

Commonly seen wildlife includes butterflies, dragonflies, small goby-like fish, and freshwater shrimp.
Depending on conditions, freshwater eels may also be seen in deeper pools.

足首までが保護され、ソールがフェルトで出来ているシューズをおすすめします。
サンダル系の履物は、足の指がむき出しになっていて、履物が足にしっかり固定されていない転倒や足を切る怪我のリスクが高く、最も沢登に適していません。
また、クロックス系、スポーツサンダル系なども隙間から小石が入ること、ソールがラバーであることからコケや岩場で滑りやすいため、沢登には良いとは言えません。これらは海、湖畔での水遊びや、カヌーなどと大変相性が良いです。蛇足ですが、ラバーであってもアクアグリッパーなど沢登に適合した特殊なソールもあります。

We recommend footwear that protects the ankles and has felt soles.
Sandals expose the toes and do not secure the foot firmly, which greatly increases the risk of slipping or cutting your feet. They are not suitable for river trekking.
Crocs and sports sandals can also allow small stones to enter and have rubber soles, which are slippery on mossy rocks and rocky surfaces.
These types of footwear are better suited for the sea, lakesides, or canoeing—not for river trekking. Felt-soled shoes are available for rent at Ta-taki Field Center. Please consider using them. (See rental page)

Yes. A life jacket is not only an important safety tool—it also makes river activities much more enjoyable.
Wearing a life jacket allows you to float calmly on the Yanbaru river, look up at the sky, or observe underwater life while drifting in shallow areas—experiences many people have never had.

靴底の素材がフェルトのブーツや、ライフジャケット、頭部を守るヘルメットなどが必要となってきます。しかしご自身で揃える場合、誤った装備やサイズの合わない装備を購入し、使用することによって、重大な事故につながる可能性もあります。
駐車場内のフィールドセンターでレンタルしていただければ、スタッフが利用者様のサイズに合わせて装備を調整しますので、安心してター滝を利用できるかと思います。

It is essential to wear proper safety gear for river trekking and to check weather conditions before and during your visit.
Okinawa’s weather can change rapidly, so please monitor weather forecasts and rain radar frequently.

ター滝での増水は、雨水を受け止める周りの山が小さいため、増水のサインが起こる前に増水が始まってしまうという特徴があります。事前に天気予報を確認し、実際に雲の動きを確認しつつ、滝に向かうことが重要です。絶対に無理はせず、少しでも危ないと思ったら引き返すことが重要です。

At Ta-taki, surrounding mountains are relatively small, which means the river can rise suddenly without clear warning signs.
It is important to check the weather forecast in advance and to observe cloud movement while on the route. Never push yourself—if you feel even slightly unsafe, turn back immediately.

大雨などの緊急時には緊急時用の避難道がございます。避難道への案内看板を目印に、水が届かない高い場所への避難をお願いします。緊急時にはスタッフが現場へ急行し、避難誘導を行いますので、スタッフの指示に従うようお願い致します。

In emergencies such as heavy rain, designated evacuation routes are available.

毎年、数件の救急搬送があります。多くは転倒による骨折や捻挫、打ち身。また岩場で足を切る方も多いです。大事にはいたっていませんが水辺での溺れも報告されています。2022年の増水時には死亡事故も発生しています。
ター滝は、自然そのままの場所であることから、比較的安全に見える川の入り口であっても、水場での溺れ、天候の急変、落石、倒木、毒虫など重大事故にもつながるリスクのある場所で、アミューズメント施設のように安全が保障された場所では無いことをご認識ください。
自然での遊びは、突然として自分に降りかかる危険へ瞬時に対処しなければなりません。このため、「自分のことは自分が守る」という心構えが必要です。様々なリスクへのとっさの対処や事前の備えが各個人に求められる場所であることをご理解ください。

Each year, there are several emergency medical responses. Most involve injuries from falls, such as fractures, sprains, bruises, or cuts on rocky surfaces. There have also been reports of drowning incidents, and in 2022, a fatal accident occurred during flooding.
Because Ta-taki is a natural, undeveloped area, even locations that appear safe—such as the river entrance—carry risks including drowning, sudden weather changes, falling rocks, fallen trees, and dangerous insects. Ta-taki is not an amusement facility with guaranteed safety.
Please understand that Ta-taki is a natural environment, not an amusement facility, and visitors must manage risks themselves.
Nature-based activities require the ability to respond quickly to unexpected danger. Visitors are expected to adopt the mindset that “your safety is your own responsibility” and to prepare in advance for various risks.

歩いていける距離にはコンビニも自販機もありません。お飲み物であれば駐車場内で名水の量り売りを行っていますが、他に必要なものがあれば来場前に購入しておくことをおすすめします。

Drinking water is available for purchase at the parking area (local spring water sold by volume), but if you need anything else, we recommend buying it before arriving.

ター滝で遊んだ後は大宜味村内の飲食店がおすすめです。沖縄そばの「前田食堂」、個性派ラーメンの「やんばるらーめん いぎみ」、やんばるの森ビジターセンターの「やんばるシーサイドレストラン」など、車で行ける距離には飲食店がございます。いずれも定休日を確認してから向かうことをおすすめします。

After visiting Ta-taki, we recommend dining at restaurants in Ōgimi Village.
Several restaurants are within driving distance, including Okinawan soba shops and local ramen restaurants, as well as the restaurant at the Yanbaru Forest Visitor Center.

駐車場内で発見されれば事務所で保管しておきますが、フィールド内で落としたり、忘れたりした場合は、基本的に見つかりません。貴重品などは、駐車場内のコインロッカーに預けてから川、滝に向かうことを推奨いたします。万が一、私物を忘れたことが発覚した場合は早めの連絡をお願いいたします。

If lost items are found within the parking area, they will be kept at the office. However, items lost or left behind in the field are generally not recoverable.
We strongly recommend storing valuables in the coin lockers at the parking area before heading to the river or waterfall. If you realize that you have lost a personal item, please contact us as soon as possible.

原則禁止となっており、私共から許可を出すことはできません。ター滝は駐車場含めて大宜味村の管理となっているため、大宜味村役場 企画観光課に申請を行い、撮影許可を貰ってください。

No. Drone use is generally prohibited, and permission cannot be granted by Ta-taki staff. Ta-taki, including the parking area, is managed by Ōgimi Village.
To operate a drone, you must apply to the Ōgimi Village Office (Tourism Planning Division) and obtain official permission.
